President, IVMatters, Inc.

Bob is a veteran product development, strategic marketing and business development professional in the medical device industry. His professional experience is primarily focused in the diagnostic imaging, gastroenterology, interventional radiology and interventional cardiology market segments bringing numerous products from concept to market. Bob has initiated and participated in numerous acquisition, joint venture, divestiture, sale, strategic partnership, licensing and other medical technology related business transactions.

Bob recently founded IVMatters in pursuit of providing advisory, strategic planning, product development, regulatory support, management support and investment to medtech companies. IVMatters currently provides a wide variety of services to clients in the diagnostic imaging, imaging contrast agent, management consulting and healthcare information technology market sectors. Bob actively participates and supports emerging medical technologies originating out of the prestigious Stony Brook University Center for Biotechnology. IVMatters houses its consulting and internal product development activities out of the LaunchPad Long Island technology incubator where Bob remains committed to supporting the regional economy.

Bob continues to be an active member of the Life Sciences Angel Network (LSAN) based out of New York City since its inception in 2010. He serves on its screening committee, mentors entrepreneurs applying for funding and has invested in several of its portfolio companies.

Prior to founding IVMatters, Bob has served in executive roles for Bracco S.p.A., ACIST Medical Systems, Inc. and Bracco Injeneering SA. During this tenure, he has initiated and supported numerous product development, regulatory and compliance efforts for Bracco’s global medical device businesses.

Other career highlights include product development and business management of Bracco’s highly successful Empower CT & MR contrast injector lines, novel angiographic injection technologies, patient monitoring systems, CT colonography accessory products, gastroenterology products, medical consumables, invitro diagnostic devices and Healthcare IT product lines. Bob is an inventor of 17 issued U.S. medical device patents with numerous pending applications. He has earned BS & MS degrees in mechanical & materials engineering from Stony Brook University.
